Could you tell us about VillageCareMAX and the comprehensive Medicare plans it offers to the community?
VillageCareMAX is a nonprofit health insurance organization with over 40 years of experience. We provide targeted, comprehensive healthcare plans for seniors in the community who are enrolled in Medicare and Medicaid, as well as individuals with specific chronic conditions. Our goal is to deliver high-quality medical and nursing services that address everyone’s health concerns.
Since the opening of our Flushing Community Center in 2019, we have worked diligently to provide seniors with a one-stop service for all healthcare-related needs. This enables elderly residents to access everything from long-term care to medical supply applications within the community, allowing them to lead healthy, safe, and joyful lives. Our staff speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, Shanghainese, and Fuzhou dialect, ensuring we can cater to the needs of our diverse community and assist with translations as needed.
As one of the first providers of comprehensive managed care plans in New York, VillageCareMAX offers highly specialized healthcare and long-term care services. Members enjoy zero costs and can receive up to $300 a month for over-the-counter medications and grocery subsidies.
We have partnered with federal Medicare and New York Medicaid to continually expand our collaboration with Asian-American physicians and local Chinese pharmacies and eye care companies. This has improved our service for eligible individuals living in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx, with plans to extend our services to Long Island, Staten Island, and Westchester next year.
For individuals aged 18 and older who qualify for long-term care, our Medicare Total Advantage plan provides a host of benefits, including:
– Monthly $300 OTC benefits for groceries, rent/mortgage assistance, gas expenses, and utility bills (including gas, electricity, water, and internet/telephone).
– An additional $575 benefit card annually for dental, vision, or hearing costs, which is distributed monthly.
– Unlimited comprehensive dental services each year.
– $350 for annual eye exams/glasses.
– Up to 54 acupuncture treatments (with no limit on physical therapy).
– Unlimited medical transportation and 24 non-medical transport services, along with up to $50,000 for global emergency medical services.
For seniors who do not require long-term care, we offer two Medicare Health Advantage Plans that cater to those seeking acupuncture and non-acupuncture services, providing monthly OTC medication benefits of either $195 or $265.
Are seniors fully utilizing their Medicare benefits for dental, vision, and hearing services? Premiums, copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles will vary based on the level of additional benefits received.
