On the morning of October 12, the First National Fitness Competition finals for women’s B group volleyball kicked off at the sports training base in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province. Teams representing the top ranks from seven major regional competitions across the country gathered to compete.
In recent years, the Zhangzhou municipal government has vigorously promoted the spirit of the women’s volleyball team, implementing projects that showcase this spirit, including a dedicated exhibition hall. These efforts have significantly accelerated the development of sports in the region, enhancing public fitness infrastructure and broadening participation in fitness activities. As a result, the local sports industry is thriving, and competitive athletic performance is on the rise.
The event organizers expressed their hope that all athletes would embody the fighting spirit of the women’s volleyball team, aiming for excellence and impressive achievements. They emphasized that coaches, referees, and staff should be dedicated, fair, and committed to organizing the competition to the best of their abilities, ensuring high-level performances and sportsmanship.
This competition is co-hosted by the General Administration of Sport of China and the All-China Sports Federation, with support from the China Volleyball Association, Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau, Fujian Provincial Sports Federation, and the Zhangzhou Municipal Government. The event lasts for two days, featuring eight teams and a total of 96 female athletes in the B (middle-aged) group from Fujian, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Henan, Sichuan, and Guangdong, all ready to deliver an exciting and competitive series of matches. The event will conclude on October 13.
