On the evening of October 25, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cultural Exchange Season’s training成果汇报展演 took place at the Meitao Bay Cultural and Creative Industry Cluster in Foshan. This event brought together young artists from Foshan and participants from the cultural exchange programs in dance, drama, and pottery, providing a public performance and pottery exhibition that showcased the collaboration among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
The exhibition was organized by the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Hong Kong Member Association of the Chinese Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the Macao Cultural Community Joint Association. It is part of a series of events celebrating the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cultural Exchange Season, emphasizing the importance of heritage while also highlighting the new developments and achievements of contemporary arts in the Greater Bay Area.
The program featured 13 performances, including music, dance, drama, folk art, and poetry recitations. Notable presentations included a specially curated poetry recitation of “Listening to the Flowers Bloom” and a “Chinese Opera Medley” by drama campers. A group dance titled “Under the Brilliant Sunshine” was choreographed and performed by all dance camp participants. Additionally, representatives from Hong Kong performed contemporary dance “Flow” and the classical Indian dance “Goddess Durga,” while a representative from Macao showcased the Chinese classical dance “Falling Lotus.” Campers from Meizhou presented a segment of the puppet show “Little Monk Comes Down the Mountain.”
The event also featured performances by young artists from Foshan, such as “Soaring Greater Bay,” “The Orchid’s Sentiment,” “Rainy Alley in Lingnan,” “Bailong Pass,” and “Listening to Meitao Bay.”
Concurrently, a pottery exhibition was held at the Meitao Bay Pottery Makers’ Pavilion, featuring works from pottery campers and local young artists. The exhibits encompassed a wide range of themes and styles, reflecting both traditional cultural elements and modern innovative trends.
