On October 17, the 2024 OPPO Developer Conference (referred to as “ODC24”) was held in Hangzhou, centered around the theme “AI, One Step Closer.” The event shone a spotlight on the development of OPPO’s AI technologies and the creation of an open and win-win ecosystem. During the conference, OPPO unveiled its brand new system-level AI and ColorOS 15, delving deeply into aspects of co-development within the developer ecosystem.

The newly launched ColorOS 15 leverages the theme “Ultra Smooth, More Free,” emphasizing areas such as fluidity, AI capabilities, design, and user-friendliness, offering a refreshing experience.
In terms of fluidity, ColorOS 15 comprehensively reconstructs the entire user experience to eliminate subtle lags that disrupt sensory interactions. It introduces a seamless dual-engine experience, ensuring optimal smoothness for users. The new “Aurora Engine” incorporates a parallel rendering framework to achieve smooth and coherent animations, while the “Tide Engine” optimizes performance at the chip level, enhancing both fluidity and battery life.
Thanks to OPPO’s innovative AI technologies, ColorOS 15 features a groundbreaking one-click AI interaction system, integrating multiple AI capabilities throughout the system and making advanced AI tools a staple for users. Additionally, an upgraded “Super Assistant” and numerous practical AI functionalities for image editing and office tasks have been introduced.
From a design perspective, OPPO’s philosophy of “Essential Design” underpins ColorOS 15, drawing inspiration from natural light and shadow.
