Nearly 200 overseas Chinese entrepreneurs and leaders gathered at the China-ASEAN Expo to explore business opportunities.
On September 25, Jin Guozhong, president of the Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Dubai, shared his insights during his first visit to the expo. “As an invited partner, we’re eager to gain a better understanding of local trade. The more we learn, the more we realize there are numerous industries where we can collaborate,” Jin stated. He expressed his goal of introducing manufacturing, e-commerce, finance, and new energy batteries from Guangxi to the UAE market.
The 21st China-ASEAN Expo is being held in Nanning, Guangxi from September 24 to 28. On September 25, the economic exchange event titled “Connecting Overseas Chinese at the Expo to Support ‘One Zone, Two Areas, One Park, One Corridor’ Development” officially commenced with nearly 200 overseas Chinese business leaders present.
In his welcoming address, Liu Ning, Secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee, described this moment as a golden period for development in Guangxi, filled with strategic opportunities and supportive policies. He encouraged overseas Chinese leaders and entrepreneurs to serve as a “bridge” for attracting investment and talent, aiming to bring high-quality businesses and individuals to Guangxi, while also assisting local companies and products in tapping into international markets.
Liao Pinhua, Vice Chairman of Guangxi, stressed the importance of seizing new opportunities presented by the advancement of Chinese-style modernization. He urged overseas leaders and entrepreneurs to deepen their understanding of Guangxi, foster trust in the region, and make strategic investments by leveraging their cross-cultural communication skills and networks. Liao inspired them to share the story of Guangxi and enhance its presence on the global stage.
