On October 17, the “Ode to the Nation: National Art Exhibition Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China” opened at the National Academy of Painting in Beijing.
The exhibition is themed “Ode to the Nation” and features nearly 400 pieces of artwork that celebrate the motherland and reflect contemporary times. It showcases classic works from renowned masters such as Qi Baishi, Huang Binhong, Zhu Qizhan, Xu Beihong, Liu Hai-suo, Qian Songyan, Wang Xuetao, Liu Kaiqu, Jiang Zhaohe, Li Keran, and Ye Qianyu. Additionally, the exhibition includes outstanding creations from talented artists from national painting academies, colleges, art museums, and other institutions across the country. The artistic representation spans various forms, including Chinese painting, calligraphy, oil painting, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor, mixed media, and lacquer painting.
The aim of this exhibition is to tell the remarkable story of the People’s Republic of China’s 75 years of exploration, resilience, and progress through art. It embodies the spirit of perseverance and hard work of the Chinese people, while also passionately celebrating the prosperity of the great nation.
Reportedly, the exhibition is co-organized by the National Academy of Painting and the Educational Programs Center of China Central Radio and Television, and will be open to the public until October 30.
