Now in its second edition, this initiative aims to recognize outstanding bartenders while reinforcing the brand’s commitment to its target audience.
Participants in the contest were required to meet specific sales goals and provide verified documentation to qualify for the rewards. Essential criteria included achieving weekly sales of the standard Jägermeister 70cl bottle, with a target of 1,000 bottles, along with documentation verifying sales results and meeting the required purchase and sales acceleration thresholds within the competition’s timeframe.
The winners were announced as Adetayo Akinniyi from MATRIX Lounge in Oyo and David Ovakpo from Dplug Lounge in Benin. Both bartenders exceeded the sales target by each selling over 1,000 bottles of Jägermeister, earning a total cash prize of eight million naira.
Akinniyi expressed his feelings about the victory, saying, “Winning this award feels like mixing the perfect cocktail. I am grateful to the company for acknowledging and rewarding my dedication to the craft. This has been an unforgettable experience, and I look forward to advancing in my art.”
Ovakpo shared his excitement as well, stating, “I am thrilled by this recognition of my passion for bartending. It motivates me to continue putting in hard work and creativity behind the bar.”
The Jägermeister Bar Staff Premium Contest exemplifies the brand’s core message of “Meisters Expression,” which emphasizes honoring excellence and mastery in the craft. By recognizing these remarkable individuals, the initiative promotes positive societal change through economic empowerment, inspiring others to elevate their careers and embody the spirit of a true Meister.
