On October 25, a residential building near the intersection of Qidao Street and Qingbin Road in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, experienced a fire. The fire has been extinguished, but the number of casualties remains unclear, and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
Around 5 PM, reporters arrived at the scene to find that the fire had been brought under control, leaving a significant amount of soot on the building’s exterior and several residents’ windows charred. Authorities from emergency services, public security, and the fire department have cordoned off the area and are conducting further investigations.
Witnesses provided video footage showing the seven-story building engulfed in flames, with thick smoke billowing from the structure. “I was at home taking care of my child when I suddenly noticed the fire in the adjacent building. The flames were intense, but rescue personnel arrived shortly after the fire broke out,” shared a nearby resident, Ms. Tan.
Currently, officials are working to determine the cause of the fire and assess any potential injuries or fatalities.
